Jameelah Clayton-Jennings / Chief Executive Officer and Founder
Jameelah Clayton-Jennings started Heaven’s Girl Entertainment to blend her many passions of education, music, television production and journalism. Jameelah is a born leader and is a passionate advocate for women and children working with organizations such as MOBB United and Sisters Building Dreams
Jameelah has always had a love of music and entertainment. In high school Jameelah was the editor of the school newspaper where she published several articles for the Springfield Eagle. As a teenager Jameelah and her cousins formed a local singing group and performed multiple shows in her neighborhood. Jameelah’s love of music and writing lead her to purse a Bachelorette Degree in Media and Communications from State University of New York at Old Westbury.
After graduating Jameelah found a way to combine her love of music and media by earning a master’s degree in Educational Technology and Communications from New York University. During this time Jameelah began to sharpen her skills by holding several internships for companies like Def Jam Records, Black Elegance Magazine and Sesame Workshop.
In 2000 Jameelah began her 20-year career as a Special Education Teacher where she found her passion for educating children with special needs, particularly teaching children on the Autism Spectrum. Eventually, Jameelah earned an additional master’s degree in Special Education from Long Island University Brooklyn. Within her career Jameelah served in many roles, including learning specialist, and Dean of Special Education services.
